My Dear Leeds
I am sorry to find that you returned
the orders. on the [Treasurer], as there is a Risk of [them]
getting lost, and had you shown them to Mr. Harwood
he would have seen them all regularly [assigned]
and Indorsed in Blank by [Saml Swann] which was
sufficient. however they are now made payable
to you. and a separate order of my own for my allowance
I am sorry you were dissappointed in going to Balto.
for want of the money however it makes no odds
now its over -- I recd. [both] the letter by John Needles
recd. by Mr Earle -- and the one by Mr [Guder] with the
orders -- [since I saw] you -- that to Sophia by Mr Martin
is not recd. yet -- she was at Cambridge -- your mother
+ self went over there at [Xmass]. and spent a
week very Agreeably we only returned yesterday
[Inclosed] you have a letter from Campbell -- he is
stopt -- in his [pursuit][by S - a]-- but do you Keep a Correspondence
with him -- he is a Clever young man -- and [Sensible]
will you inform Mitchell that he must have his
Rent ready I shall want it [Imediatly]. I am [anxious?]
to hear of your settling with Clements + [Neth]. I shall
send the [Board] of [Mullikins] time enough if he does
not pay. [lest?] I am [assured] to send it [out] by a safe
hand. your Uncle wishes you to write him very
much and you ought to do it [imediatly] and
Often -- it may be of great advantage to you --
[in every point of view] -- no news here worth
notice -- let me hear from you by post if the
Bay should Freeze over [tho] there is no [signs]
of that [at present]. and let us [have] all the [little]
news of the place -- with Compl. to all friends
